Happy Star Wars Day! May The 4th Be With You!

Happy Star Wars Day to all you Star Wars enthusiasts out there! May the 4th Be with you! Today is the official holiday for all Star Wars lovers. It's impossible to get through the day without someone bringing it up. As everyone celebrates today, you'll see it all over the internet. Companies all across the world will be utilizing their marketing teams to promote #MayThe4thBeWithYou and/or #HappyStarWarsDay. Here are some examples of previous ads that make reference to today's Star Wars celebration.

It's time to take out your wallet... I'm sure it's really appealing. Not all retailers are directing customers to Star Wars merchandise; one must look around. For example, going to Walmart, there was no splash page or marketing regarding May 4th, but it was placed in the toy area. In my perspective, I would have expected Walmart to do more to promote it.

Target delivers yet another letdown. They make no mention of May 4th or Star Wars Day on their home page.

Amazon would be the ideal place for me to shop. A fast search for "May the 4th Be With You" will take you to their Star Wars main page, which has all you need to know about the franchise. This t-shirt would be the first item added to my shopping cart if I had to choose just one item from going down the rabbit hole.

Unfortunately, no movies are scheduled to be released today, and we all expected Obi-Wan to be released today, but it will not be until May 27th. However, we've been assured that a new Obi-Wan trailer will be released today. I'm looking forward to it, as I'm sure the rest of the world will be when it comes out.
